We're searching for an accomplished Technical Artist to spearhead the transition of procedural content generation systems into dynamic, real-time environments. If you're passionate about Unreal Engine, possess substantial game development experience, and are driven to propel advancements in real-time rendering, join us in reshaping content creation and influencing the trajectory of our dynamic workspace.

The base pay range for this role is between CA$115,000 and CA$135,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications and experience, and location.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the evolution of procedural content generation systems from offline to real-time environments, ensuring scalability and user accessibility.
  • Identify and resolve issues within Unreal Blueprints, materials, and other in-engine systems to maintain top-notch rendered scenes.
  • Forge efficient pipelines and workflows for diverse CG content types (environments, vehicles, characters), contributing to cross-disciplinary ML-based content strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the product team to craft strategies utilizing CG Content aligned with the company's mission.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine Blueprints, Python, and game development.
  • Strong command of materials & shaders, real-time rendering, with substantial Unreal Engine expertise.
  • Familiarity with lighting/rendering and expert-level proficiency in C++ (Unreal).
  • Proven experience in gameplay programming and a solid mathematical aptitude.

What Will Help You Stand Out:

  • Background in multidisciplinary CG content creation and mid to senior-level experience in game development teams navigating complex technical transitions.
  • Rapid adaptation to learning proprietary systems and rapid prototyping of scalable, photorealistic content solutions within the initial 90 days.
  • This role seeks individuals well-versed in Unreal Engine, skilled in CG content creation, and equipped with a diverse technical repertoire to drive the evolution of real-time procedural content generation.
Location Information: This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement based at our Vancouver, British Columbia office. We are also open to considering applicants outside the Vancouver office, but they must be willing to work in the Pacific Time Zone. For remote team members, a commitment to our core operating hours and attending quarterly in-person meetings at our Vancouver office is required.
